Much-travelled at an early age, I had been half-way round the world three times before I was nine years old. Having touched down since, I devote time to time-travel via the medium of photography and media projects. Photography reflects a measure of detachment and distance which lies between me and the external world, having lived a life where the world of the imagination features strongly and there is a pronounced ‘dis-engagement’ and barrier which I sense most strongly when I feel mis-understood, excluded or shut out from engaging in the activities of everyday life - which is a recognizable predicament for lots of people with a shared common experience of how the world looks in on people with extensive experience of mental ill-health. The images that I capture which resonate most with me are the rare ‘zeniths’ of experience. It could be wild, deserted places with the natural elements strongly in play, or something which chimes with inner visions when my imagination is the sounding-board and something has achieved parity with that vision

Your work does wonders for conservation of nature. You have affectionately captured on film one of the endangered and likeable species of birds in our world. Your seascapes and egrit photographs have great action. Very exciting work!
