My Statement

I see the world through someone who is now living as a woman for ten years, analysing people and society in a way that most people probably can't. I am 68 years old and I am rather critical of the world as I see it. The art is an expression of my inner feelings of new found freedom. Since I started painting seriously in November 2004 I have used acrylic on board which I find much quicker than oil paint, as it takes too long to dry and I am quite impatient so I like to get things down on the canvas while the ideas are fresh. I can spend six hours thinking and paint for ten minutes. Each painting takes about 2 weeks to complete.

It is visible in your painting "The Flobam and Jetsam People" that it took some time and energy to paint. The sea in this piece is a beautiful colour.
