Aaron's artwork.

I was good at drawing & copying at a young age. I gained an art O Level at secondary school. Upon leaving school I didn't draw or paint for nine years, then I rediscovered my love of art after some art therapy in hospital. My family were very supportive of my art, & I found great inspiration through watching Rolf Harris on T.V. I then studied art at Morley College, that is in St. Georges Road. Through my health support team I found out about CoolTan Arts who are in Walworth Road in S.E. London where I now attend art courses. I paint in different styles using different mediums.

I live near to this area, & one very snowy morning I walked there & took a photo; this picture was taken from this photo. It has been said to be in the style of L.S.Lowie. It has snow splattered onto the picture using a toothbrush (, this technique was learnt from Rolf Harris T.V. program). It also has hologram glitter which when presented under a light makes the picture shimmer.

Aaron cycled to the Southbank & took a photo of this scene; then painted from this photo at CoolTan Arts. This is the first collage Aaron has painted. The river has hologram glitter on it that make it shimmer under the light.
Pablo Picasso & Henri Matisse pastiche.

After seeing nude abstract paintings by Pablo Picasso & Henri Matisse at The Tate Modern, Aaron decided to do this pastiche. Notice the copy of an orginal Picasso in the top right hand corner, that Aaron copied from a black & white book photo ( so Aaron just made up the colours).
Madonna

Aaron has been a big fan of the singer Madonna since 1995 when Aaron was 14 years old. It is painted in black & white as what is known as the "criseye technique". It was copied from a black & white photo from the "ray of light" photo session.

Portrait of Zbyszek, who is one of Cooltan's volunteers. It is a pencil drawing. It was drawn on a Cooltan portrait drawing workshop, that was taught by Rossanne Daskalov.
